He is a licensed attorney in Texas and has significant experience in the areas of refugee law, international humanitarian law, US immigration law, and is an expert in Criminal, Civil and Immigration litigation.

He holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Texas at Austin, with a specialization in International and Latin American Law, a Doctorate from The Ohio State University “Moritz College of Law” and a Master of Laws (LLM) in Private International Law from the University of Houston.

He also has a MA in Philosophy and Letters, in International Relations from the University of Santa Maria and a BA in Latin American Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. In addition to this, he has a Master of Laws (LLM) in Human Rights from The Academy of Human Rights of the American University (Washington Law School).
